A couple details on this layout are not exactly right - for instance, where the bathroom walls are lining up (or NOT lining up) across from the staircase, and I think on the blueprints the kitchen extension is a little deeper. But for the most part, this is a very viable layout. And no, we do not actually own all this furniture. ;)

How was this layout made?
A lot of people are asking me that, so I figured I'd let the cat out of the bag. I used Better Homes and Gardens' "Arrange-A-Room" tool to create each room...notice the lovely purples and browns throughout. Then I put them all together on the same grid in Photoshop (since each BHG room was at a different scale). It took a lot of tweaking, but I finally got all the walls lined up and I think things worked out pretty well.

Sorry I don't have a layout of the upstairs and that the garage is not included...
